Time to Ride Alone

a friend asked me to draw this for him; he didn't say what it was for, but simply described what he wanted it to depict- "a mother is following her child, who is learning to ride a bike. he is beginning to pull away, but she is reaching out as if she is not quite ready to let him go."

So this is what I came up with.
